Dad-to-be sues clinic for aborting pregnant girlfriend’s baby without his consent
A TEENAGER is suing an abortion clinic because staff terminated his pregnant girlfriend’s baby without his consent.
“Baby Roe” is named as a plaintiff in the lawsuit which has been brought against Alabama Women’s Centre for Reproductive Alternatives. Magers is said to have been able to bring the case because Alabama had passed an amendment to its constitution to recognise the “personhood” of a foetus months before.Magers’ lawyer Brent Helms said of the case: "Baby Roe’s innocent life was taken by the profiteering of the Alabama Women’s Centre and while no court will be able to bring Baby Roe back to life, we will seek the fullest extent of justice on behalf of Baby Roe and Baby Roe’s father.
