A 19-year-old was arrested on a capital murder charge in the shooting death of a 78-year-old outside a far northeast Dallas motel.
Maurice Parker was already in custody at the Dallas County jail on an unrelated charge of unlawful carrying of a weapon when the latter charge was brought against him, police said Monday.Officers responded shortly before 4 a.m. Saturday to the 9500 block of Forest Lane and found a man shot dead in a parking lot, police said at the time.The victim was identified as Mohammad Haddad-Farshi, according to the Dallas County medical examiner records.
