Officers found Denzel Branch about 3:30 p.m. in the 2500 block of 56th Street, near East Ledbetter Drive.

According to Branch’s Facebook page, he was a youth minister at New Generation Church. In a statement released Monday, church officials said they were “deeply saddened by the tragic incident,” adding it took place just down the street from the church after its Easter morning service.“We sincerely appreciate everyone’s prayers and concern and we ask for your continued prayers for the families and our church family as we navigate through these difficult times,” the statement said.
