The expert in flood management told the BBC it will take a few more days until the water is reduced to an acceptable level.He said:"You can't let the water out of the reservoir too quickly because that can just cause flooding problems downstream. "They're trying to get the water out of the reservoir as quickly as they can without causing further damageMr Wright said it's"unlikely" the dam will be repaired and is more likely to be replaced.
He said this long-term work shouldn't stop residents from returning home - as long as the water levels are safe.
