Emergency crews all across the Tennessee Valley responded to several scenes after severe weather rocked the area Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
) - Several people are recovering after being injured by a severe storm that rocked the Tennessee Valley Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Now, emergency crews and residents are cleaning up what the storm left behind.In Madison County, crews worked to remove trees and downed power lines after the storm. In the Five Points neighborhood, trees fell on top of cars. Luckily, there was no one inside. Residents said they didn’t expect the storms to get so bad.
Huntsville city officials say roads are impassable at Maple Hill Cemetery. Cemetery gates will be closed Thursday. DeKalb County saw some of the worst damage in the Tennessee Valley. The storms were so strong they ripped giant, healthy trees out of the ground. Our team who was at the scene said some of the tree’s trunks were at least 15 feet tall.
