The Office of Civil Defense 11 reported that damage to infrastructure due to the 5.9 magnitude earthquake that hit Davao de Oro on March 7, 2023 reached more than P42 million.

The Seismological Observation and Earthquake Prediction Division of the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology reported that as of 6 a.m. of Thursday, March 9, 2023, earthquake events count of the series of tremors in Davao de Oro was 1,103; 181 were plotted and 27 were felt with magnitude ranging from 1.5 to 5.9.

On Tuesday morning, March 7, a 5.9 magnitude earthquake hit the said municipality anew, which was reported to have been felt in the neighboring municipalities and provinces.
