Dan Walker's new show under fire for Tom Parker blunder during emotional interview
Dan Walker's new Channel Five show has been hit with complaints after a production error misnamed the late Tom Parker, who tragically passed away last year from a brain tumour aged 33.
He recalled: "When his voice started [in the song Siva skated to], if you look at the opening scene, I’m literally gasping, thinking ‘Tom, get me through this.' Many fans took to Twitter to express their upset at this mistake, with one writing: "@mrdanwalker I was quite surprised to see Tom walker instead of Tom Parker during your interview with @SivaKaneswaran how could someone get that so wrong..."
During his time on Dancing On Ice, Siva had spoken about how he is still mourning the loss of Tom, and in one VT broke down in tears, as he told viewers: "When I think about the past, I just think about Tom.Siva continued: "I witnessed his courage when he was fighting with his illness and it was so inspiring. I thought I’d bring that into my life and face my fears."
