Professional dancer Giovanni Pernice has quit Strictly come Dancing the BBC officially reveals as it unveils list of returning dancers
The BBC has officially confirmed that Strictly professional Giovanni Pernice has left the show for 2024. The news comes after complaints from actress Amanda Abingdon.
The dancer, 33, has faced allegations over his strict training methods from Amanda and a number of other celebrity partners. Luba Mushtuk, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas and Vito Coppola will also be back on our screens for the 2024 series of the hit show.
Official investigation The BBC launched an official investigation after Giovanni was accused of ‘threatening and abusive behaviour’ while working with celebrity partners including actress Amanda Abingdon, who he was partnered with for the 2023 series. The Sherlock actress left the competition for ‘personal reasons’ mid-way through the series.
