Richard Bray told police he would 'stab someone' if they took his weapons off him
A 53-year-old man has been jailed after carrying a number of offensive weapons through Leeds Railway Station.
After appearing in Bradford Magistrates Court on Wednesday, September 13, Bray, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. He has been jailed for six months. He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £154.Investigating officer PC Ryan Moss said: "Bray is clearly a dangerous individual who could have potentially caused serious injury to another member of the public.
Confirming the details of what happened, a spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "A 53-year-old man has been jailed after he admitted carrying offensive weapons at Leeds Railway Station last week. Richard Bray, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and was sentenced to six months in jail by Bradford Magistrates on Wednesday 13 September.
