Tracking storms moving into the Gulf next week
– Today will be sizzling hot with high temperatures in the upper-90s to 100 degrees. It will be dangerously hot so please take heat precautions. If you must be outside, take breaks in the shade.This week we will climb to the triple-digits several days. Along the Red River we will see temperatures up to 105! Dallas and OKC will easily top 103 degrees Wednesday and Thursday.Although the NWS hasn’t issued a heat alert, stay mindful to prevent heat-related illness.
Tropical Storm Debby’s slow speed is expected to bring catastrophic flooding this week over southeastern US over the next few days. Debby may bring 15-20 inches of rain to some areas on the coast line depending on how slow Debby moves towards the Georgia coast line. Check out this pin from our sister station in Jacksonville.Another tropical wave is developing in the Atlantic. It has a 30% chance of developing over the next 7 days. There is so much uncertainty with this system.
