The watch blogosphere is reaching for the smelling salts this morning, as Daniel Craig has been photographed at the Olympics wearing an unreleased Omega Seamaster dive watch, said to be scheduled for release in 2025.ICYMI, Craig is an Omega ambassador, his James Bond wore Omega Seamasters, Omega sponsors the Olympics and the company has a history of releasing commemorative watches for the event.The actor has previous form in stealth-launching as-yet-unobtainable Omega watches.
Craig’s latest undercover launch is a no-date take on the popular Seamaster, a version Omega fans have been asking for for a while – putting it head-to-head with Rolex’s flagship dive watch the no-date Submariner.Elsewhere the new watch has a black dial, a mesh bracelet, a flat crystal and a ceramic bezel.
