Daniel Farke insists his Leeds United players have NOT let him down in recent weeks - and revealed that if you had given him this current situation back at the start of the season it would have been a 'dream'.
Farke admits key performances have cost his side, but won't point the finger at his players ahead of a crucial weekend, instead preferring to take collective responsbility. And the Leeds boss has reminded critics of just how far the club has come since the chaotic days of his arrival in the aftermath of relegation from the top-flight.
"I was aware it would be tricky in the first season. We would go for it and it would be difficult, but once I came in and saw all the details, it was worse than I expected. After 10 games in September, the transfer window closed, if you told me we would be safe in the play-offs after 45 games and finishing no worse than third - with a theoretical chance on the last day for top two - I would be a really happy man. It sounds like a dream.
