Daniel James is desperate to impress for Wales over the international break
Daniel James has opened up about his eagerness to leave a mark on the Welsh squad after rejoining the international scene under manager Craig Bellamy.
"I was gutted about that but it's just nice to be back now, especially as after this camp there is going to be a long break until March. So it's nice to come in, understand the principles of what the manager wants and just learn from it." James also revealed that he didn't need to have any discussions with Bellamy before joining up with the squad, as the manager's playing style was clear to see.
"Football isn't always positive but you have to bounce back. If I said I'd forgotten about it I would be lying, but I won't let it affect me in future games. It could have happened to any of us on the day but unfortunately it was me. I've got to take that, learn from it and be better." But James has no reservations about Crew’s potential shining both at Leeds and internationally, saying: "He's been with us for quite a while now and he's progressing really well."
