Callum Hudson-Odoi has sent a message to his Nottingham Forest teammate Danilo after he returned from injury in the FA Cup. The 23-year-old came off the bench in the 85th minute to replace James Ward-Prowse as he got a few minutes under his legs. Forest defeated Luton Town 2-0 to progress in the competition after goals from Ryan Yates and Ramon Sosa as their impressive season continues.
The Brazil international has been out of action for five months after breaking his leg on the opening day of the Premier League, in what has been a tough season for him personally. However, it wasn’t just Forest fans who were happy to see the influential midfielder make his return to the squad. Danilo will be a welcome boost for Nuno Espirito Santo, who has been without his services all season so far. The midfielder joined the Premier League side in January 2022 and has gone on to play 50 times since then, scoring six goals in the process.
