Latest Nottingham Forest news from NottinghamshireLive as Danilo starts long road back from broken ankle with encouraging message
Nottingham Forest midfielder Danilo has vowed to be “back soon” after breaking his ankle just seven minutes into the new Premier League season.
He needed nine minutes of on-pitch treatment, with club staff shielding him from the crowd, and was transferred straight to Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham. Forest took the lead not long after Danilo’s injury when Chris Wood struck but Semenya snatched a point for the visitors in the 86th minute.
“It is serious, we are going to miss him not only on the pitch, he is a wonderful boy. You know him, always smiling, always with this joy and wish him the best.
