He took a nasty knock against St Johnstone but he's not letting it keep him down as he gives fans the thumbs-up.
Danilo says his surgery has gone to plan as the Rangers star shared an optimistic injury update from hospital.
The front man took a blow to the head in the process of scoring his side's opening goal against St Johnstone and the impact was immediately there for all to see. He suffered a compound skull fracture and is set for a spell on the sidelines while he recovers, but the former Feyenoord man is keeping his chin up as he gave fans a thumbs-up on Instagram. And while that nasty blow to the head is still evident, he's not letting him keep him down.
He wrote 'Surgery' with a tick to indicate all had done to plan, before adding: "Now it's time to rest and heal. Hope to see you all soon." Danilo will undoubtedly be watching from afar when his team take on Real Betis to kick off their Europa League campaign this Thursday and it's likely Kemar Roofe or Cyriel Dessers will lead the line in his absence.
