Danny Dyer admits he wanted to ‘duck out’ of emotional EastEnders leaving party EastEnders
Danny Dyer has revealed that he wanted to "duck out" of his EastEnders leaving party as he was so "emotional" at leaving the BBC soap after nine years of playing Queen Vic landlord, Mick Carter.
“It would have been easier to go out the back door. But Kellie organised something proper and I’m glad we did it. I got my Albert Square board and they bought me a sign." According to Danny, he used to use the phrase when referring to shooting a scene, which he admitted is an "unpalatable" thing to say, but conceded it is "something I would say".
The actor is leaving the soap, with his character Mick Carter set to meet his end this Christmas, as he's killed off in what are sure to be explosive scenes worthy of the long-running show.
