A skydiver from Nottinghamshire has added a world record to her list of achievements. Laura Hampton, from Bingham, was part of an invite-only team of 108 skydivers who joined forces - in mid air - to land the total break sequential formation skydive record.
A video taken by a cameraman captured the jump in stunning detail. Daringly dangling out of the side of the aircraft at 18,000 feet with a beautiful blue sky backdrop, it's seconds before dozens of divers begin tumbling out of five identical planes like moulded figurines and into the open air below. Once they're all in the place, they break off - hence the "total break" variation of the record - and realign with their hands on a different foot. After completing that move one more time, the record was set.
