Minister Simon Harris is calling for a full investigation to be carried out, describing the incident as "unacceptable and dangerous"DART passengers were forced to walk along the railway line last night after an electrical fault brought the train to a stop.
The company said the 6:40pm Howth to Bray service stopped just outside Shankill due to"overhead power line damage" on Wednesday. It said the 40 passengers onboard were 'safely walked' 30 metres back to the platform by staff, after spending approximately one hour onboard the train.Really worrying to read about this tonight. It is unacceptable & dangerous for passengers & staff, who had to walk from Shankill to Bray.Jane Creegan from Irish Rail said there was no safety issue."It was only 30 metres from Shankill which would be lit up.
