The money was divided between Kist (£60,000), Prostate Cancer UK (£60,000), and a randomly selected fan, Chris, a 28-year-old railway guard from Sutton (£60,000).
Despite losing to Madars Razma in the PDC World Darts Championship, the Dutch ace cracked his perfect leg to spark the cash bonanza. Tournament sponsors Paddy Power are shelling out £180,000 every time there’s a nine. The money was split £60,000 to Kist. £60,000 to Prostate Cancer UK with their BIGGER 180 campaign and £60,000 to a randomly chosen fan.
“I’m back in work tomorrow, but I don’t know what time yet. I’m a guard’s manager and I work for south western railway, a bit like a conductor. “This will take a while to sink in, that’s for sure. It was just a normal day. I came here after work. I knew about this nine-darter initiative. But I wasn’t 100 per cent sure how it worked.
