The incident happened on Mar. 8, when troopers received a report of a reckless driver.

Retired UPD Deputy Chief Chris Bertram, said he was part of nearly 30 pursuits in his career, and praised the troopers' actions after reviewing the footage. Bertram says there’s a need during pursuits to continuously assess and coordinate, adding the risks involved for both the officers in pursuit and the general public. He stressed the importance of sticking to department policies, practices, and training to manage dangerous situations effectively.
