Our client, developmental credit provider that provides credit to individuals who are wanting to build, renovate or do home improvements, is looking for a a Decision Scientist with a strong statistical background to join their growing analytics team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for analysing complex data sets, developing insightful reports, and applying statistical methods to drive business decisions. This position requires a combination of technical proficiency, analytical thinking, and business acumen.Degree , Honours Degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, or related disciplines.Experience and knowledge with regards to the credit lifecycle.Statistical Analysis: Apply statistical techniques such as regression analysis, hypothesis testing, data mining and predictive modelling to solve business problems. Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyse large data sets from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.Data Quality: Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing regular data validation and quality checks. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including credit, finance, and operations, to understand their analytical needs and provide data-driven solutions. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance data analysis efficiency.
