Qualified Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program beneficiaries apply for Lifeline Rate Discount at Cinema 6 of SM Lanang Premier in Davao City on Monday. Davao Light and Power Company, in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development 11 and SM Lanang Premier, hold a 2-week long Onsite Application for Lifeline Rate Subsidy, which aims to increase awareness and applications for Lifeline Rate Discount among qualified 4Ps beneficiaries.
Under the new guidelines of Republic Act 11552 or “An Act Extending and Enhancing the Implementation of the Lifeline rate, Amending for the Purpose, Section 73 of Republic Act No.
Fermin P. Edillon, head of the Reputation Enhancement Department of Davao Light, said on Monday that currently 403 invidivuals are already enrolled for the subsidy before the start of the on-site application. However, unqualified to avail of the subsidy are those living in condominium units and subdivisions unless under government housing programs; those who are under the Net Metering Program; violators of the Anti-Pilferage Act; and those who are not in the 4Ps list of the DSWD and do not have a certification from the local SWDO.
