Dave King ‘couldn’t do a worse job’ at Rangers after the ex-chairman was linked with a sensational return to the club following John Bennett’s decision to step down., ex-Scotland striker Frank McAvennie believes Rangers are in ‘the same boat’ as Celtic were in the early 90s but admits the club’s pile of debt will make things tricky.
King, 69, left his role as Chairman in 2020, believing the club to be in safe hands, but the gap between them and their Old Firm rivals has widened both on and off the pitch.
