Dave Myers' wife Lili Orzac has spoken out after it was announced that the Hairy Bikers star had been posthumously awarded the freedom of his hometown of Barrow-in-Furness.
The wife of the late Hairy Bikers star Dave Myers , Lili Orzac, has described the posthumous freedom he was given by his hometown just months after his passing as a "huge honour".
In the award certificate made available to the public, Barrow Town Council declared: "We the Council posthumously grant the highest honour we can bestow to David, and is given in recognition of his service to the Barrow Community and the promotion of Civic Pride. We loudly applaud your valuable and sterling service whilst thanking you most sincerely."
Only days ago, approximately 20,000 well-wishers across the UK marked 'Dave Day', commemorating the late TV personality. Over the weekend, hundreds turned up at Town Hall to welcome a procession of bikes spanning 36 miles from London to the Barrow-in-Furness led by Lili and Si KingDave's former co-star and friend, reports the Mirror.
