David Beckham was today named as an ambassador for The King's Foundation - a charity set up by the Prince of Wales - and the ex-footballer was seen laughing and joking with King Charles
In a meeting with King Charles where they "compared beekeeping tips", former England football legend David Beckham was honoured as an ambassador for The King's Foundation. Joy-filled photos released to celebrate Saturday's announcement showed the pair sharing a laugh at Highgrove's doorstep, while other snaps showed 49-year-old David testing his carpentry skills amongst foundation students participating in woodworking courses at the Snowdon School of Furniture.
“It was inspiring to hear from the King about the work of His Majesty’s foundation during my recent visit to Highgrove Gardens – and compare beekeeping tips!” The football icon met King Charles in the verdant Royal gardens of Highgrove, the private country residence of His Majesty, to gain deeper insights into the charity's operations. The former England captain also had a chat with students from the Metiers d'art Embroidery Fellowship, a programme run in partnership with CHANEL and Le19M.
The King's Foundation, which oversees Highgrove Gardens, was established by Charles when he was still Prince of Wales back in 1986. Its mission is to provide education and holistic solutions to today's global challenges in a sustainable way.
