Klopp took charge of his final match as Reds manager on Sunday as Liverpool claimed a 2-0 win over Wolves. Even before the result, a third-place finish in the Premier League table and Champions League qualification were both already secured.
Anfield bid an emotional farewell to Klopp and his backroom staff after the game. Thiago Alcantara and Joel Matip were also given guard of honours as they prepare to leave the club this summer. Beckham, who made 394 appearances for Man United before leaving to join Real Madrid in 2003, has expressed his admiration for Klopp. The 49-year-old also admitted that his words of praise for the now-former Liverpool manager may not please some of Man United-supporting friends.
"I am going to get killed by some of my Man United friends, but I am sad to see him leave Liverpool. What he’s done for the club and the sport has been incredible."
