Sir Alex Ferguson still has a special bond with his former players.
David Beckham, Steve Bruce and Gary Neville are among those paying their respects David Beckham cut a sombre figure as he was spotted leaving his hotel for Lady Cathy Ferguson’s funeral. The retired Manchester United legend, like many of the club’s former players, have a special bond with iconic manager Sir Alex Ferguson and they will be joining those paying their respects after his wife’s death earlier this month.
As a tribute to Lady Cathy, United’s players wore black armbands against Brentford the next day, while the flags at Old Trafford are being flown at half mast, and hours after the news was revealed, United’s Women’s side also wore black armbands in their 2-2 draw with Arsenal.
