The family members appeared together on stage as Lionel Messi was unveiled as the latest signing to David's club
David Beckham has shared a "special" moment where his wife Victoria, daughter Harper and son Cruz showed their support at an important moment. The Beckhams appeared together last night at a high-profile ceremony to celebrate the signing of star footballer Lionel Messi to Inter Miami CF, the club David manages.
David posted an Instagram story showing the three family members on stage together - alongside the caption 'special' and a love heart emoji - at Fort Lauderdale’s DRV PNK Stadium as Messi was welcomed to the team in front of thousands of fans.
"Today that dream came true. I couldn’t be prouder that a player of Leo’s calibre is joining our club but I’m also delighted to welcome a friend, an amazing person and his beautiful family to join our @InterMiamiCF community."And in a post on her own Instagram profile, Victoria said: "I don't have enough words to express how proud I am of @davidbeckham.
At the ceremony, Victoria wore a stylish cream-coloured suit while Harper was wearing a pink dress paired with white trainers. Cruz kept things casual in a salmon pink shirt, relaxed black trousers, chunky shoes and a white top, while David was dressed in a smart navy blue suit. Instagram Messi, 36, has a contract with Inter Miami CF until the end of the 2025 season. The deal will pay him between $50m and $60m a year.
The ceremony at the DRV PNK Stadium was called The Unveil and was broadcast live. Messi was handed his pink Number 10 shirt and told the crowd: “I want to thank all the people of Miami for their welcome and love since I arrived in this city.“I can’t wait to start training and competing. I’m here with the desire I’ve always had to compete, to want to win, and to help the club continue to grow.”
