Comedian and former BGT judge David Walliams has admitted he was 'completely friend-zoned' by former Neighbours star Natalie Imbruglia - who he fell for 'like a ton of bricks'
David Walliams had his heart set on more than friendship with Natalie Imbruglia , but it seems the feeling wasn't mutual. The Little Britain star was left disappointed when the former Neighbours actress and singer didn't reciprocate his feelings. The pair, who have been friends for a long time, were often seen together around London in 2015, fuelling speculation of a romance. This was shortly after David's split from his wife Lara Stone .
Despite his affections, Natalie, who rose to fame as Beth Brennan on Neighbours in the 90s, apparently saw him in a different light, likening him to a "gay best friend" because of his flamboyant personality and humour. David revealed: "We didn't go on any dates. We just became very good friends and we hung out together. But you know, it's hard not to kind of fall for her like a ton of bricks because she is amazing.
He has been linked to Spice Girl Geri Halliwell, now 52, glamour model Abi Titmuss, aged 48, reality star Ashley James, once of Made in Chelsea fame, now 37, and Sylvia Flote, a Norwegian model aged 41. His enigmatic heartache induced by 'Miss X' turned out to be none other than TV star Lisa Snowdon, also 52.
