Davina McCall was visibly moved, shedding tears and displaying a lot of emotions at the 2024 National Television Awards . The esteemed television host was honoured for her extensive career in showbiz as she ascended the stage to receive a Special Recognition award.
In the footage, Dermot lauded her as "kind, generous, smart and funny", and Claudia Winkleman from The Traitors hailed her as "totally authentic", adding: "She is exactly as you see her." At times, she burst into laughter, mirroring the emotional rollercoaster experienced by those around her. Alison Hammond affectionately remarked: "If you have a Davina in your life, trust me, you're doing alright."
Overcome with emotion, Davina said in her acceptance speech: "Thank you so much. This means so much, I can't even begin to tell you."
