New dates have been announced for Day Fever, the daytime disco sensation, bringing its unique blend of music and entertainment to Nottingham. Fans who missed out on the initial ticket releases can now secure their spot at the upcoming events.

Day Fever , the daytime disco bringing a nightclub experience to the afternoon, has announced new dates in Nottingham, delighting fans who missed out on tickets during the first round. Founded by actress Vicky McClure and her husband Jonny Owen , Day Fever started as a one-off event in Sheffield and has blossomed into a nationwide celebration of dancing without sacrificing your Sunday.

The event's popularity this year saw tickets for January and February dates sell out quickly, prompting organizers to release more. Nottingham revelers are in luck: while the February 1 event has sold out, tickets remain for the April 19 party at Rock City and the March 15 event at Nottingham Palais. McClure expressed her joy at touring the country with the music event, saying: 'We're thrilled that people feel comfortable at Day Fever. Hearing their stories has shown us how important it is to just take a break from life and have a bloody good dance!' Tickets for Day Fever are available on the event's website, where you can select your desired date and location (subject to availability). Prices vary slightly depending on the venue, but last year's Rock City event cost £10 per person. Events typically run from 3 pm to 8 pm. Born and raised in Nottingham, McClure, 41, attended the city's Central Junior Television Workshop. She's been honored with a tram named after her in 2015 by Nottingham Express Transit and has received honorary doctorates from both the University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University. Speaking to Nottinghamshire Live last year, Owen, a filmmaker, described the events as 'joyous occasions' where people had a fantastic time. 'We just play the greatest music of the 20th century,' he said. 'That's the only way I can describe it. We play all the hits. It sounds cheesy but you can leave all your troubles at the door.' Owen added that the couple had a playful rivalry when it came to choosing venues, particularly Nottingham, which McClure considers her home city.'Vicky wants to be in charge of Nottingham because it's her city. It's quite funny actually because it's become quite competitive,' he said. 'Cardiff sold out in a few hours, which is my home city, with a one-and-a-half-thousand capacity, and so did London with the same.' Day Fever continues to be a popular choice for those seeking a fun and energetic afternoon filled with music and dancing
