The local MP has asked the local police and Police & Crime Commissioner to step in
Teenagers wreaked havoc across a Nottinghamshire town, leaving a trail of frightened locals and debris in their wake. Reports from Arnold of car windows being smashed, rocks being thrown at pedestrians and walkers being harassed surfaced on Sunday, October 27, leading to the local MP publicly issuing a letter to the police imploring they get involved.
"Please can you use all appropriate resources at your disposal to clamp down on those who believe they can act with a disregard for the law and without impunity in and around Arnold town centre." "Luckily, the rock missed us and hit a car at the bottom of the road instead. Around half of the group were on bikes. If you believe your child could have been with this group, I urge you to speak to them. We were lucky to have missed the rock, which could have injured us and seriously injured our dog. I feel for the people whose car it hit.
A commenter said the youths had smashed her front living room window after loitering in Arnot Hill Park in the area. Then, just more than an hour later, another post alluded to the harassment of those attending a history walk by a local historian.
