Crunchyroll announced that they have acquired the streaming rights to the movie Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction.
The streaming service will begin releasing the film in episodic format beginning on May 23, 2024. After that, new episodes will premiere weekly. The two-part anime film originally premiered in Japan on March 22, 2024, and will release its second part on May 24, 2024.What is Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction about?
Based on the hit manga of the same name, Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction follows of a world where a large spaceship appearing over Tokyo, and a one-sided war against the alien breaking out shortly thereafter. The story focuses on a pair of high school girls as they navigate life throughout the world.
The manga the film is based on began in 2014, and ran for eight years before coming to an end in 2022. Throughout its run, the manga was a massive success, selling over 3 million copies and winning various awards. The main cast of the film includes Ano as Ōran Nakagawa and Lilas Ikuta as Kadode Koyama.
