Capcom has revealed a remastered version of Dead Rising, but not everyone is sold on the new version of its lead protagonist.
Frank now looks more like a Frank Despite getting a HD remaster in 2016, Capcom is giving the first entry in the zombie series another overhaul in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. The original open world zombie game came out in 2006 on the Xbox 360, which was followed by an updated 10th anniversary release in 2016 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The last sequel, Dead Rising 4, was released in the same year.

Capcom Vancouver, the studio behind all the sequels after Dead Rising 2, was closed down in 2018. The series hasn’t been touched since, but this remastered version suggests Capcom is perhaps looking to gauge interest in a new mainline entry.
