These images show the terrifying weapons seized by police as disputes in the criminal underworld spilled out in the streets in two gangland shootings. Aaron Gray opened fire at a taxi office in Eccles before shooting at a house in Whitefield two months later.
A woman was working in the office and went to the door when she heard banging. Gray fired at the taxi rank. The woman was not hurt but was terrified, shouting 'he's got a f****** gun!' The residents who lived there only realised what had happened the following morning. An ex-boyfriend of a resident who lived at the property had been arrested months earlier in connection with drugs and firearms offences, the court has heard.
Smith had initially asked another man, 40-year-old Craig Walker, if he could get a 'thing'. Wharmby was then contacted with a view to handing over the Glock, but it never happened because police seized the firearm.
