Following the introduction of anchor beings in Deadpool & Wolverine, Kevin Feige has addressed the MCU's Iron Man anchor being theory.
not only marked the entry of Ryan Reynolds’ Merc with a Mouth in the MCU but also introduced the concept of anchor beings. As per the movie, every world in the multiverse possesses a unique anchor being of its own. Following this revelation, a theory claiming Iron Man to be the anchor being of Earth-616 has started to take shape. Now, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has addressed this theory.
Feige not giving a proper answer to the theory keeps the possibilities of other potential candidates to be Earth-616’s anchor being, despite Tony Stark making the biggest sacrifice to save the universe. As such, the film follows the events of Logan , which saw the disheartening demise of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. In Deadpool & Wolverine, it is revealed that Logan was, in fact, the anchor being of Wade Wilson’s Earth-10005. Following his death, Earth-10005 begins to head towards extinction, kicking off the events of the movie.
