Woman is struggling to come to terms with her parents divorcing in their late 60s.
Dear Coleen I’M a woman in my 30s, married with one child and I’m struggling a lot with the fact my parents have decided to get divorced in their 60s.
To be honest, I don’t want to hear it any more. I hope it’s the right decision for them and it makes them happy, but I’m done. I just want to wash my hands of it. Is this selfish? I’d love your opinion. I remember my daughter was about 15 when she said to me and her dad: “Listen, I love you both, but I don’t want to hear about it any more. Sort it out and stay together or don’t, but I don’t want to be in the middle of it”.
