Fans of the show were left emotional after hearing the family's story
Fans of Saturday Night Takeaway have been left 'in bits' following a family winning a holiday on the show after a dead family member made a nomination from beyond the grave - which left Dec struggling to talk.
Ant and Dec returned for the third episode of their final series - for now - of Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway and once again the pair kicked off proceedings with the 'Happiest Minute of the Week'. The segment sees Ant and Dec give away a number of 'Takeaway Getaways', which is an all expenses paid holiday.But one family's prize had everyone in tears. A family from Dunfermline were handed a Takeaway Getaway after mum Sadie, who died of cancer, nominated her husband before her death. Dec said she had written into the show before she died, asking for them to be given the holiday. She added that she wanted people to see how good her husband was at being a dad.This left fans of the show in tears with many taking to social media to share their emotions. @LisainEdinburgh said: "The lad from Dunfermline on #SaturdayNightTakeaway being nominated by his late wife for a takeaway getaway". @craggsy82 added: "That last one....
