A Deepdale resident has branded the mess at a nearby disused railway line an ‘absolute disgrace'
The issue of fly-tipping on the disused railway lines by the junction of Skeffington Road and Acorn Close in Deepdale has been causing local residents discomfort for months.
It has led to a rise in complaints, but one resident says they have had no response from the owner of the land.that despite complaining to Network Rail about the rat-infested railway lines there has been no reply, and the issue now needs to be sorted out quickly. She said: “I have on a number of occasions contacted Network Rail, plus Preston Trampower, to ask about the absolute disgrace that it is getting, with fly-tipping and the fact that other general commercial premises are dumping stuff on the railway lines at the back of St Chad’s Road and the opposite side of Skeffington Road.
“The garage and car sales place are trying very hard and seem to be putting a lot of money and effort into making it a better site. But no one is taking responsibility for the day-to-day disuse of the absolute mess and rat infested railway lines that are around the properties in this area.
