Rick Allen was assaulted in Fort Lauderdale, north of Miami Beach, where officials imposed a curfew after two deadly shootings
Allen said his wife, Lauren Monroe, was not with him when he was beaten.
“We ask you to join us in our effort to move from confusion and shock to compassion and empathy. We understand this act of violence can be triggering for so many people. Miami Beach officials said they had implemented a curfew from 11.59pm on Sunday until 6am Monday. Another is likely to be put in place from Thursday until Monday 27 March, officials said. The curfew mainly affected South Beach, the popular spring breakers’ party spot.
