Degamo widow wants PNP rule on public presentation of suspects changed

Municipal Mayor Janice Degamo, of Pamplona, Negros Oriental province, has called for a policy change on the public presentation of suspects “in the name of fairness.” | zacariansINQ

, former Dumaguete City Police chief Col. Ramoncelio Sawan refused to present Alabata’s photos to the public.

“But this time, especially since it involves a PNP officer, I think it is high time that that protocol if indeed it is, has to change in the name of fairness,” she added. Senator Bato dela Rosa, a former chief of the PNP, empathized with Sawan while likewise concurring with Degamo. He said he will look into the mayor’s suggestion.
