Two major Nottingham Winter Wonderland attractions will experience a delayed opening as the highly anticipated market is due to open on Tuesday . Sky Skate and Ice Bar , among the most most popular attractions, will instead open at a later date.
A spokesperson from the Mellors Group, the company that organises Winter Wonderland and Goose Fair, confirmed 'a couple of things caused a push back on site'. The family ice rink will, however, open from 5pm on Tuesday, as will the markets and the observation wheel. At the time of writing tickets for the Ice Rink & Sky Skate were still listed on the website, with 75-minute time slots available between 5.30pm and 10pm on Tuesday. Prices for adults vary between £12.50 for super off peak, £15 for off peak, and £17.50 for peak times.
Ice Bar tickets were also advertised on the website, with 45-minute time slots available from 10am, costing £19.50. The Winter Wonderland, run by the Mellors Group in tandem with Nottingham City Council, opens a week earlier than usual this year. It's unclear when the Sky Skate and Ice Bar are now due to open. Nottinghamshire Live has approached the Mellors Group for further comment.
