Dele is about to return to the grass as he continues his recovery from a long term injury, though he remains some time away from joining up with the first team
Dele is close to taking a step forward in his recovery from an injury that has prevented him from being involved in Everton’s season so far.
He is still some way off being able to train with the first team - with a comeback not deemed close enough for timescales to be discussed. But the 27-year-old is about to start training on grass again as he work towards his recovery. Asked about the player’s progress towards fitness, Dyche said: “He is well in himself. I think that is important as number one. He is still well in himself - I don’t overegg it but when I bump into him I ask him how he is feeling and he is absolutely fine. He is working hard and he is just on the verge, very gently, of getting on the grass. Not with us by the way, but out there. So there is a lot of hard work.
