This is the moment Deliveroo drivers ‘armed with chains’ were filmed attacking a man in south-east London.
The shocking clip, filmed in Loampit Hill, Lewisham, on Saturday night, begins with three drivers from the fast-food delivery company swarming around a well-built man in a busy road. It is reported the confrontation erupted after one of the Deliveroo drivers’ mopeds clipped the man’s car. As the scene unfolds, a packed No21 bus, which runs between Lewisham and Newington Green, is held up by the fighting.The drivers, wearing bike helmets and green and grey uniforms, swing wildly at the man, but he continues to fight back.The Deliveroo drivers in their green and white uniforms are seen swinging wildly at the man At this point, the Deliveroo drivers rush back to their bikes and one manages to crash instantly, before limping away.
‘He then called on the other two Deliveroo drivers and soon they had chains and other weapons started attacking the driver.,‘These three Deliveroo drivers shouldn’t get away with it.’The witness also claimed the police were called but didn’t attend the scene, adding that he had never seen anything like it in ’20 years of living here’.A Deliveroo spokesman said: ‘Deliveroo does not condone any sort of violence.
