Democratic NYC Councilmember Susan Zhuang criticizes the NYPD for 'brutality' and 'Asian hate' following her arrest at a protest, where she allegedly bit a police officer, penetrating his skin.
A Democratic New York City council member is now speaking out against the NYPD for 'brutality' and 'Asian hate' following a protest where she allegedly bit a cop, penetrating his skin, during a protest. Susan Zhuang was arrested for allegedly biting a deputy police chief during a protest against a proposed homeless shelter in her Brooklyn district.
In New York City, if a council member is convicted of a felony, they are automatically expelled from the city council, per mandated state law. Generally speaking, the expulsion would be immediate upon the felony conviction, regardless of the severity or nature of the felony.
