Young Mets star has been raking since being optioned to Triple-A in May
In six minor league games since being sent to the minors, the 24-year-old infielder has exceeded expectations, especially with the bat. He’s also added some versatility to his game byOn Friday, Baty notched his third three-hit game of the week against Triple-A Lehigh. In the last four games, Baty is 11-for-17 with a home run and two doubles.
In six games in 2022, he went 8-for-22 without an extra-base hit. The following season, he batted .298 with 10 home runs and 31 RBIs in 26 games. In 49 games this season, Baty is batting .225 with seven extra-base hits and 16 RBIs with a .628 OPS.
