He served as an assistant coach for his alma mater since 2022.
Former Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson is "no longer employed" by the school following an April drunk driving arrest,Robinson was working on the team's player personnel staff under former coach Jim Harbaugh and remained in Ann Arbor during the coaching transition under new coach Sherrone Moore. He had been on staff since February of 2022.
Robinson was initially suspended on April 15 after his arrest for operating while intoxicated. He started 37 games in his college career and set NCAA records for career rushing yards by a quarterback , as well as the single-season mark for rushing yards by a quarterback during the 2010 season. Robinson was also named as an AP First-Team All-American for his play that season.
Following his career with the Wolverines, Robinson was drafted in the fifth round of the 2013 NFL draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He would later serve as a quality control coach on Jacksonville's staff to begin his coaching career before Harbaugh hired him at Michigan in 2022.
