A 17-year-old Denver boy was arrested after Jefferson County sheriff’s officials say he stole $20,000 worth of LEGOs and minifigures from a shop in the early hours of May 12.
Investigators recovered $20,000 in minifigures and LEGOs stolen from Bricks & Minifigs in Jefferson County on May 12, 2024.
Deputies began investigating the theft after someone tried to break into Bricks & Minifigs at 8936 W. Bowles Ave. at 4:30 a.m. on May 12. The suspect later returned and broke in by tying a strap from a car bumper to the doors and pulling them open, causing “severe damage,”stole 14 sets of LEGOsSheriff’s officials arranged to buy some of the LEGOs from the boy, confirmed they were among the stolen LEGOs and later searched the boy’s home, where they recovered nearly all of the stolen items.
