The tolerance of plants to climatic changes and short-term fluctuations in environmental conditions is determined by their adaptation and acclimatization capacities. In the Plant Physiology group of the Freie Universitaet Berlin we are especially interested in plastid-controlled protection mechanisms, the signalling processes that adjust it to changing environmental conditions and the consequences on plant growth, productivity and survival.
